Leonel Paranaense came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Narino's Fred Soeiro. But to his dismay, Fred Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Capoeira players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Narino were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedé Esteves to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 57 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Dedé Esteves sped through Narino's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jorge Barbosa. Leonel Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Soeiro in the 61st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Narino's zone, Dedé Esteves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Barbosa came out of the goal and Dedé Esteves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the game, Capoeira's Dedé Esteves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jorge Barbosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 76th minute, Zeca Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jorge Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Esteves in the 80th minute of play. A hard shot 81 in the game by Fred Soeiro from a close distance when the talented Leonel Paranaense managed to make a qualified save. Capoeira's players were relieved. Jorge Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antônio Carlos Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Jorge Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dedé Esteves's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. After having played for 95 minutes, Ramón Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Narino's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ramón Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Magno Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Capoeira were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
