Duarte Sport Club's Elder Catarinense proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Duarte Sport Club from getting a goal against them. Oséas Nogueira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Elder Catarinense firmly grabbed it by the left post. With a little luck, Duarte Sport Club's Elder Catarinense got control of the ball when Oséas Nogueira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Noel Félix to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Ezequiel Recife left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duarte Sport Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 57 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Recife recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edmílson Novaes. Ezequiel Recife showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Noel Félix kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 61stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Pirauna's keeper Edmílson Novaes was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. With his leg Edmílson Novaes managed to avoid a goal in the 66thth minute, when Duarte Sport Club's Noel Félix fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elder Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tião Zonta, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Noel Félix's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Edmílson Novaes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Noel Félixs short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Edmílson Novaes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Duarte Sport Club's Ezequiel Recife slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Edmílson Novaes. That made the score 0-4 after 85 minutes of play. A hard shot 93 in the game by Ezequiel Recife from a close distance when the talented Edmílson Novaes managed to make a qualified save. Pirauna's players were relieved. Elder Catarinense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Nogueira, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Edmílson Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Recife in the 96th minute of play. The Duarte Sport Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Duarte Sport Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
