After 24 played minutes Estendeslau got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Eduardo Zonta. Elder Catarinense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Neto in the 28th minute of play. Ezequiel Recife received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Edmílson Favoretto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Elder Catarinense successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Duarte Sport Club booed when Estendeslau was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Eduardo Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Duarte Sport Club's Vitinho dos Santos broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. 44 minutes into the match, Duarte Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Túlio Lucas came free, but Elder Catarinense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
