Zé Augusto Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luizinho Velloso in the 36th minute of the match. Cristiano Ortiz hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Luizinho Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Augusto Gonçalves having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luizinho Velloso to strike the kick off in the second half. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Piacaba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
