Zé Roberto Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Tande, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. A hard shot 40 in the game by Claudinho Sanches from a close distance when the talented Zé Roberto Vianna managed to make a qualified save. Cotinguiba's players were relieved. Ipuacu AD's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ismael Loyola 65 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-1. Zé Roberto Vianna came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Ipuacu AD's Tomé Tande. But to his dismay, Tomé Tande quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Ipuacu AD defense, Lino Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fred Palmeira. The Ipuacu AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fred Palmeira should have stopped the shot. In the 80th minute, Tomé Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Roberto Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho Sanches in the 85th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André de Souza during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Ipuacu AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André de Souza to maneuver through the defense. When Ismael Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Cotinguiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ismael Loyola couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle sounded Cotinguiba left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ipuacu AD.
