When Luiz Fabiano Simão came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Caresalzinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano Simão couldn't finish the play. Mathias Cabral made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Miguel Peixoto sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Jaracutia SS's Miguel Peixoto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Elder Botelho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Caresalzinho FC's Mathias Cabral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaracutia SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Botelho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Cabral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, Manuel Palmeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elder Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Cabral having to interfere. Jaracutia SS's Miguel Peixoto got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Peixoto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Mathias Cabral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Botelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Cabral having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luiz Fabiano Simão was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes Caresalzinho FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Paraibano. Gustavo Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Simão, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Gustavo Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Fabiano Simão's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Elder Botelho scored 2-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mathias Cabral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Miguel Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Mathias Cabral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jaracutia SS. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jaracutia SS had won after a very even match.
