Leonardo Vergílio's late challenge caught a Jaracutia SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leonardo Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to 5 de Janeiro FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Leonardo Vergílio hit a great ball. When 5 de Janeiro FC's Dorival Carvalho in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 42 minutes, José Paulo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 5 de Janeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Paulo Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zé Maria hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Miguel Peixoto made a kick off. Dorival Carvalho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the match, Jaracutia SS's goal looked a bit too open when José Paulo Gaspar came free, but Gustavo Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elder Botelho hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 63 minutes, Dorival Carvalho made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Jaracutia SS's Gustavo Netto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dorival Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Gustavo Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 5 de Janeiro FC. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. 5 de Janeiro FC fully deserved thier win.
