In the 19th minute Fabrício Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Mc Donald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Traian Oțeteleșanu came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Clube de Regatas MEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Traian Oțeteleșanu couldn't finish the play. Theobald Ostertag struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Enio Lopez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube de Regatas MEC. After a defensive mix-up in Forquilna's zone, Dionísio Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enio Lopez came out of the goal and Dionísio Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 31st minute by Artur Mendonça got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dionísio Veiga kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Dionísio Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 37th minute, Traian Oțeteleșanu made a precise shot to the right of Enio Lopez. Forquilna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Traian Oțeteleșanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot by Horácio Mumbach from long distance, 45 minutes into the match, got Ronald Mc Donald's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.

The wind increased when Traian Oțeteleșanu made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Clube de Regatas MEC's Zézinho Severo got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Gildo Cardozo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Traian Oțeteleșanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Enio Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 65 minutes, Artur Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forquilna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Mendonça was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Traian Oțeteleșanu in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enio Lopez saved Forquilna from getting behind. Maurinho Mangueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Artur Mendonça left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forquilna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Enio Lopez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Traian Oțeteleșanu went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. After 82 minutes, Traian Oțeteleșanu made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Forquilna's Enio Lopez tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Theobald Ostertag cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-7. Enio Lopez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 89 played minutes Forquilna got a freekick which was hit by Horácio Mumbach. Traian Oțeteleșanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Enio Lopez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enio Lopez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Traian Oțeteleșanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
