Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Vivaldo Antunes kicked off to start the match. Fiori Simões could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Kaká Matos made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Itapitanga EC's Wellington Prata sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Antunes in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Cruxati getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Gilson Rosado hit a great ball. The supporters of Itapitanga EC booed when Cruxati was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mauro Maranhense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Cruxati's Germano Sena dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Cruxati's Germano Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Germano Sena in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaká Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Guilherme Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. If Fiori Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Itapitanga EC's zone, Germano Sena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kaká Matos came out of the goal and Germano Sena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fiori Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Kaká Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Germano Sena to strike the kick off in the second half. If Fiori Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. When Fiori Simões came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Cruxati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fiori Simões couldn't finish the play. In the 62nd minute Germano Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kaká Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 2-0 became the score in the 64th minute when Germano Sena elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Gilson Rosado charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gilson Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 70 minutes into the match, Cruxati's goalkeeper Bernardo Souza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wellington Prata. Germano Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Kaká Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Matos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Sena in the 79th minute of play. Germano Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Matos having to interfere. Vivaldo Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Cruxati's Germano Sena nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kaká Matos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When the referee ended the match the Cruxati players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
