In the 6th minute, one of Tomahawk:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tomahawk. The referee gave Usina da Tijuca a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Germano Vale, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tomahawk's Jorginho Rezende. 0-2. Vágner Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Tomahawk's Robinho Pombal got a free kick in the 12th minute. After 13 played minutes, Usina da Tijuca's Germano Vale shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jorginho Rezende came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Usina da Tijuca reached it. Diogo de Godoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Christian da Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tomahawk's protests and gave Christian da Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. Diogo de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Rezende having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tomahawk's zone, Zé Paulo Paraibano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorginho Rezende came out of the goal and Zé Paulo Paraibano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorginho Rezende came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Usina da Tijuca's Zé Paulo Paraibano. But to his dismay, Zé Paulo Paraibano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Diogo de Godoy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorginho Rezende having to interfere. After some careless play in the Tomahawk defense, Zé Paulo Paraibano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jorginho Rezende. The Tomahawk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jorginho Rezende should have stopped the shot. Diogo de Godoy scored 0-5 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorginho Rezende, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Tomahawk players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Usina da Tijuca were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diogo de Godoy to make the kick off. Zé Paulo Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Tomahawk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Tomahawk's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Zé Paulo Paraibano 71 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Zé Paulo Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 77 played minutes Zé Paulo Paraibano rounded Tomahawk's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-7. The supporters of Usina da Tijuca booed when Tomahawk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcinho Bastos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorginho Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo de Godoy in the 82nd minute. Tião de Carvalho's late challenge caught a Usina da Tijuca's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tião de Carvalho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Tomahawk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tião de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Zé Paulo Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Jorginho Rezende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Usina da Tijuca getting a freekick after 88 minutes play.
