The free kick resulted in a very good chance to score when Delfim Faria kicked a really tricky shot on goal. Thomas Schuh never had to step in, however, because the ball went just left of the goal. Celsinho Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Maia having to interfere. Cláudio Maia didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C R Brasil's José Vítor Palmeira shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Cláudio Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Palmeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. C R Brasil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iulian Isvoreanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, C R Brasil's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Velloso came free, but Thomas Schuh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pearu Ereb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C R Brasil played a much better game than Marcondes SC and deserved their victory. The Marcondes SC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
