Waldemar Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Thomas Schuh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peruipe AD's Zé Pedro Simão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Peruipe AD from getting a goal against them. José Vítor Palmeira who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Zé Pedro Simão when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match, Celsinho Dantas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Zé Pedro Simão saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Laércio Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 38th minute of the match, José Vítor Palmeira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zé Pedro Simão was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Zé Pedro Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celsinho Dantas in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuno Cerezo made a kick off. After 53rd play minutes José Vítor Palmeira shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Zé Pedro Simão and just under the crossbar into goal. If Narciso Coutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peruipe AD's Zé Pedro Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Vítor Palmeira in the 58th minute of play. C R Brasil's Adrianinho Quirino got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 92 minutes, José Vítor Palmeira made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. Peruipe AD's Zé Pedro Simão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C R Brasil fully deserved thier win.
