Zé Pedro Simão yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. When Silvinho Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Peruipe AD's protests and gave Silvinho Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Peruipe AD getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Silvinho Toscano hit a great ball. Peruipe AD's Zé Pedro Simão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Peruipe AD from getting a goal against them. In the 26th match minute, Marcondes SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalmo Vianna to maneuver through the defense. Nuno Cerezo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cláudio Maia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Delfim Faria might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Pedro Simão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delfim Faria ran back to his position shaking his head. Luisinho Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Simão having to interfere. In the 44thth minute of the game Delfim Faria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peruipe AD's Zé Pedro Simão was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Cerezo was the one to do the kick off. When Luisinho Velloso came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Marcondes SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisinho Velloso couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Marcondes SC's Cláudio Maia got control of the ball when Waldemar Tande tried to sneak it across the goal line. Delfim Faria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Pedro Simão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Faria in the 64th minute of the match. A collision led to Marcondes SC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Túlio Arantes hit a great ball. Luisinho Velloso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Delfim Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marcondes SC's supporters rose to their feet, but Delfim Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Pedro Simão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peruipe AD's Zé Pedro Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisinho Velloso in the 95th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Delfim Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Although Marcondes SC had been in control for most of the match, Peruipe AD still came away with the win.
