After 4 played minutes Matilde SS got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Lara. After 5 played minutes, Saturno F.C's Alex Moura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lucas Fontes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Saturno F.C reached it. A collision led to Saturno F.C getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Walmyr do Nascimento hit a great ball. Albertinho Toledo made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Silvério Ramalho sent off a good shot on target. Juninho Zanette's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertinho Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Matilde SS's Juninho Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juninho Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho Toledo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Juninho Zanette in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albertinho Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Silvério Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho Toledo having to interfere. A collision led to Saturno F.C getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gil Quadros hit a great ball. Saturno F.C's Albertinho Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Zanette in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvério Ramalho got free with Albertinho Toledo in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Juninho Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute Juninho Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Ian Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saturno F.C's protests and gave Ian Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Saturno F.C's Ian Velasco got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Renato Lima was the one to do the kick off. Matilde SS's Bernardo Lara suffered a sore foot after 51 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The supporters of Matilde SS booed when Saturno F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walmyr do Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Saturno F.C defense, Silvério Ramalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertinho Toledo. The Saturno F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertinho Toledo should have stopped the shot. Matilde SS's Silvério Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Matilde SS booed when Saturno F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Quadros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Silvério Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matilde SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvério Ramalho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albertinho Toledo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Walmyr do Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Albertinho Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Ramalho in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Silvério Ramalho notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Saturno F.C's Albertinho Toledo. Albertinho Toledo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Renato Lima blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Fontes having to make a save. When Silvério Ramalho came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Matilde SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvério Ramalho couldn't finish the play. Leandro Cruz's late challenge caught a Matilde SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. Lucas Fontes came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Saturno F.C's Walmyr do Nascimento. But to his dismay, Walmyr do Nascimento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Walmyr do Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucas Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renato Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Matilde SS's Silvério Ramalho in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Saturno F.C's goalie prevented a goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Matilde SS had played much better football throughout.
