Alviverde FC's Vânderson Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sylvio Trică in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute, Vitório Moreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Olavo Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the game, Joélson Nóbrega cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Josué Barral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joélson Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sylvio Trică had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Berger in the 27th minute of play forced Nyland Star Soccer's goalkeeper Josué Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Alviverde FC's Joélson Nóbrega nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josué Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 36 minutes into the match, Alviverde FC's goalkeeper Vânderson Toscano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sylvio Trică. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Paulão Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the game, Joélson Nóbrega was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alviverde FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nyland Star Soccer the free kick. Joélson Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. In the 70th minute, Sylvio Trică left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nyland Star Soccer fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Sylvio Trică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Nyland Star Soccer defense, Ivo Berger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josué Barral. The Nyland Star Soccer fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josué Barral should have stopped the shot. Josué Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joélson Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ivo Berger got free with Josué Barral in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Martins in the 85th minute of play forced Nyland Star Soccer's goalkeeper Josué Barral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Gualter Toledo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alviverde FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nyland Star Soccer the free kick. Josué Barral came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Alviverde FC's Ivo Berger. But to his dismay, Ivo Berger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Josué Barral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alviverde FC played a much better game than Nyland Star Soccer and deserved their victory. The Nyland Star Soccer players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
