Mirandinha EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Adolfo Loyola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Lanacre EC's Vágner Valle got a free kick in the 40th minute. Marcinho Matorin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 41st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Adolfo Loyola in the 42nd minute of play forced Lanacre EC's goalkeeper Marcel Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Magno Mattos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lanacre EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirandinha EC the free kick. The supporters of Mirandinha EC booed when Lanacre EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Magno Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 47th minute, Zé Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Denílson Fontes. Mirandinha EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Breno Teles made the kick off in the second half. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marcel Seco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Breno Teles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Denílson Fontes managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Lanacre EC's Zé Cunha fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 79th minute, Zé Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Breno Teles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Lanacre EC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Manoel Rodrigues hit a great ball. With a little luck, Mirandinha EC's Denílson Fontes got control of the ball when Gugu Alves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Denílson Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Teles, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Breno Teles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 89 minutes, Breno Teles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lanacre EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breno Teles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denílson Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breno Teles in the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Zé Cunha notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Mirandinha EC's Denílson Fontes. Denílson Fontes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Mirandinha EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lanacre EC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
