Carlos Fernando Sena helped the player get up and apologised. Rubens Cunha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 20 minutes into the match, Villa Nova MG's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Mangueira came free, but Rubens Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Villa Nova MG's Amadeu Cabral managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cauan Quirino in the 38 minute of the game. 44 minutes into the game, Márcio Mangueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Bento Sorocaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villa Nova MG the free kick. In the 44th minute, Márcio Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 46 minutes of play, São Bento Sorocaba's Giovani Galvão made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Giovani Galvão was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Furlan in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th minute Villa Nova MG were awarded a corner. Amadeu Cabral went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 69th minute Carlos Fernando Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Fernando Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Tomás Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Rony Koehler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. After a rather tough play, Villa Nova MG's Rony Koehler got a free kick in the 77th minute. Tomás Arósio came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Villa Nova MG's Rony Koehler. But to his dismay, Rony Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. If Mathias Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Furtado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. São Bento Sorocaba's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
