Giovani Galvão started the match with the kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Gerson Romero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. São Bento Sorocaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Totora the free kick. A collision led to São Bento Sorocaba getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Gerson Romero hit a great ball. São Bento Sorocaba's Tomás Arósio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murilo Berger in the 9th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Murilo Berger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomás Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Murilo Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute 雷迅然 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of São Bento Sorocaba booed when Totora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Tinoco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute of the match Daniel Monteiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valeriy Buglay skillfully saved the ball. Tomás Arósio was a little too slow when Lucas Amaral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Lucas Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tomás Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Dracena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Tomás Arósio made a huge save. Totora's Valeriy Buglay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Furtado in the 38th minute of play. 39 minutes into the match, São Bento Sorocaba's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Berger came free, but Tomás Arósio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomás Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Berger, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Cláudio Dracena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tomás Arósio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Berger to make the kick off. In the 59th minute Murilo Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to São Bento Sorocaba getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Giovani Galvão hit a great ball. Valeriy Buglay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Giovani Galvão's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. After 70 minutes, Giovani Galvão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the São Bento Sorocaba and the Totora players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 70th minute, Giovani Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Berger in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tomás Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 77 minutes, Murilo Berger made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. São Bento Sorocaba's Tomás Arósio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to São Bento Sorocaba getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Giovani Galvão hit a great ball. Murilo Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerson Romero got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Gerson Romero hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Tomás Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Dracena in the 87th minute of play forced São Bento Sorocaba's goalkeeper Tomás Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th minute Murilo Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Dracena took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomás Arósio. Tomás Arósio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Totora players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
