In the 10th match minute, Touros FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Viana to maneuver through the defense. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Touros FC's goalkeeper Marquinhos Tasso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Umberto Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 22nd minute, Frederico Furtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Edson Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marquinhos Tasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Umberto Fonseca's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Olívio Braga in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valdomiro Cabral saved Beijo na Boca JR from getting behind. Edson Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marquinhos Tasso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. When Umberto Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Beijo na Boca JR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Umberto Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Edson Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With splendid footwork Umberto Fonseca arrived in front of goal to shoot 2-0 by the left pole in the game's 42nd minute. If Umberto Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olívio Braga was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Touros FC defense, Edson Rosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marquinhos Tasso. The Touros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marquinhos Tasso should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Umberto Fonseca in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Tasso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marquinhos Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edson Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute.
