Spectators: 3700 (Terracing: 3000, Seating: 700, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Remo Leão took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Remo Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Percy Hermes fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lagao's protests and gave Percy Hermes a yellow card for diving instead. Percy Hermes hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Conrado Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Zanette in the 9th minute of play. The supporters of Caribas booed when Lagao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rômulo Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Josué Mattos sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Coutinho skillfully saved the ball. Remo Nascimento was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Remo Leão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Remo Leão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The Lagao fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Lagao's Ulysses Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th minute, Lagao's Remo Leão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Remo Nascimento. Remo Nascimento yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. 33 minutes in the game, Remo Leão fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Remo Nascimento having to interfere. Ulysses Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Remo Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Remo Leão scored 4-0 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Remo Nascimento, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ulysses Moraes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Remo Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo Leão in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remo Nascimento saved Caribas from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Reynaldo Zanette to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Juarês Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Conrado Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. 63 minutes into the match, Ulysses Moraes notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Caribas's Remo Nascimento. Remo Nascimento was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Remo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Remo Leão in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remo Nascimento saved Caribas from getting behind. The supporters of Caribas booed when Lagao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reynaldo Zanette received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Conrado Coutinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Reynaldo Zanette slotted it home off the left post making it 5-1 in the 72nd minute. Conrado Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reynaldo Zanette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Conrado Coutinho was out of position in the 79 minute of play, and Reynaldo Zanette capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reynaldo Zanette really showed his touch with that goal: 5-2. Germano Lima's late challenge caught a Lagao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Germano Lima helped the player get up and apologised. After 82 played minutes Caribas got a freekick which was hit by Germano Lima. After 84 played minutes Caribas got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Saldanha. In the 90th minute Remo Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remo Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulysses Moraes took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remo Nascimento. Remo Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. When the referee ended the match the Lagao players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
