Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Caipora EC's José Vítor Linhares started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th match minute, Caipora EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Baltazar Coutinho charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baltazar Coutinho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Caipora EC got a freekick which was hit by Baltazar Coutinho. Gogo Tabor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fábio Dante having to interfere. Pedro Paulo Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Luís Fábio Dante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. José Vítor Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Sérgio Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gláuber Varela's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Marques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. If Gláuber Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that José Vítor Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio Marques was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gogo Tabor to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, Libanesa EC's goal looked a bit too open when José Vítor Linhares came free, but Lúcio Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Libanesa EC's Laerte Corrêa got a free kick in the 56th minute. If José Vítor Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. Caipora EC's Luís Fábio Dante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oswaldo Moreira in the 72nd minute of play.
