When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Severino Cabral made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdo Quirino in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubens Neves saved Alasca from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Quirino in the 58th minute of play forced Alasca's goalkeeper Rubens Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdo Quirino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdo Quirino couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute Valdo Quirino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rubens Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the game, Alasca's Claudinho Félix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
