When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Abelardo Prestes put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Túlio Toscano. Túlio Toscano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abelardo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Túlio Toscano having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wang Chang Ang made a kick off. Nestor Pimenta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivo Saldanha in the 51st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aílton Moura during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 53 played minutes Vajoia SS got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Moura. Jovens em ação's Régis Félix was substituted for Wang Chang Ang.
