In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind SPARTA F C's goalkeeper Giuseppe de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Tibúrcio Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Parahiba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tibúrcio Amorim couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Jardel Gaspar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Jardel Gaspar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 34th match minute, SPARTA F C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Godoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute Tibúrcio Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jardel Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tibúrcio Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Giuseppe de Senna having to make a save. Jardel Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Giuseppe de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jardel Gaspar to make the kick off. Tibúrcio Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Giuseppe de Senna made a huge save. Benjamin Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. If Tibúrcio Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Mesquita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermínio Bastos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 68th minute, Cássio Hermes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Parahiba's Ernesto Mesquita didn't even have to move. 71 minutes into the game, Hermínio Bastos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Ernesto Mesquita was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tibúrcio Amorim who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Giuseppe de Senna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 76 minutes into the game, Tibúrcio Amorim lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Giuseppe de Senna. Jardel Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe de Senna having to interfere. 82 minutes into the match, SPARTA F C's goalkeeper Giuseppe de Senna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tibúrcio Amorim. Elano Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hermínio Bastos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95thth minute of the game Jardel Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SPARTA F C's Giuseppe de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The SPARTA F C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Parahiba's performance. The match ended with a win for Parahiba.
