Laércio de Brito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cássio Alvarenga having to make a save. In the 5th minute, Fausto Britto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Guilherme Nogueira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Valadares in the 11th minute. Cássio Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genílson Mendes in the 20th minute of the match. Cristian Valadares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Guilherme Nogueira made a huge save. Cássio Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genílson Mendes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Catauara getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lenílson Machado hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Catauara's goal looked a bit too open when Genílson Mendes came free, but Cássio Alvarenga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when João Vítor Vieira made the kick off in the second half. When Cristian Valadares, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 56 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Guilherme Nogueira was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Laeti SC's goal looked a bit too open when João Vítor Vieira came free, but Guilherme Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th minute, Wilton Pombal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cássio Alvarenga was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. If Fausto Britto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Laeti SC's Genílson Mendes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Guilherme Nogueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Vítor Vieira went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Azevedo during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Catauara booed when Laeti SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roberto Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute, Genílson Mendes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laeti SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilton Pombal got free with Cássio Alvarenga in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute, João Vítor Vieira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cássio Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Wilton Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Fausto Britto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Cássio Alvarenga made a huge save. Cristian Valadares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Guilherme Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st match minute, Laeti SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. If João Vítor Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When João Vítor Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Catauara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Vítor Vieira couldn't finish the play.
