Mineiros-Go's Reinaldo Quaresma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Esteves in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Guilherme Sena made a precise shot to the right of Reinaldo Quaresma. Mineiros-Go's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After a rather tough play, Demônios Vermelhos F.C.'s Valdir do Nascimento got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 31 played minutes Demônios Vermelhos F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Valdir do Nascimento. Fabrício Palmeira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Perivaldo Freitas made a huge save. Cafu Couto hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Reinaldo Quaresma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute.
