In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Jatuaraninha FC. Leonel Urbano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dráusio Mazza. 0-1. Raí Couto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Mazza having to interfere. Ijaci FC's Dráusio Mazza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Couto in the 19th minute of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Ijaci FC's Luiz Gustavo Ribeiro in the 21st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but João Augusto Coutinho was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Jatuaraninha FC through an amazing save. When Humberto Baptista came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Ijaci FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Humberto Baptista couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Ijaci FC's zone, Maurício Maciel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Mazza came out of the goal and Maurício Maciel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raí Couto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Dráusio Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raí Couto in the 38th minute of play forced Ijaci FC's goalkeeper Dráusio Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Raí Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dráusio Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raí Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Raí Couto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ijaci FC's zone, Raí Couto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Mazza came out of the goal and Raí Couto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Perivaldo de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jatuaraninha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Perivaldo de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dráusio Mazza made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Perivaldo de Amaral sent off a good shot on target. Raí Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dráusio Mazza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Perivaldo de Amaral got free with Dráusio Mazza in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Perivaldo de Amaral in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Dráusio Mazza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. João Augusto Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Humberto Baptista in the 97th minute of the match. When the match was over Jatuaraninha FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Ijaci FC throughout the match.
