Spectators: 6550 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chiquinho Brodel took the kick off in the first half of the match. Glauco Lago made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Chiquinho Brodel sent off a good shot on target. Cléber Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Glauco Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club's Glauco Lago threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Chiquinho Brodel, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 14th minute, PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club's Ulysses de Lara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Glauco Lago. Glauco Lago yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Glauco Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses de Lara in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 25th minute Gualter Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Chiquinho Brodel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Glauco Lago was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Paulista in the 38th minute of play forced Pela Porco's goalkeeper Glauco Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Glauco Lago showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiquinho Brodel in the 39th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chiquinho Brodel in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Glauco Lago prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th minute, Ulysses de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualter Tasso made a kick off. When Chiquinho Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chiquinho Brodel couldn't finish the play. 54 minutes into the game, PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club's Chiquinho Brodel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Glauco Lago made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 58 minutes into the match, Pela Porco's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses de Lara came free, but Glauco Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Márcio de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gualter Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. After 69 played minutes PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club got a freekick which was hit by Ulysses de Lara. Cléber Paulista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pela Porco's Glauco Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chiquinho Brodel in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute of the match Clemente Machado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Glauco Lago skillfully saved the ball. Pela Porco were furious when Victor do Vale was red carded, 89 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. If Chiquinho Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber Paulista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club's Chiquinho Brodel in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pela Porco's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club's Clemente Machado got a free kick in the 98th minute. When the referee ended the match the PEÑAROL FooT BaLL Club players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
