Seating: 1645, VIP seats: 142) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Arósio started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Arósio in the 3rd minute of play forced Curriola AD's goalkeeper Anísio Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Garimpo booed when Curriola AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Curriola AD's zone, Francisco Arósio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anísio Oliveira came out of the goal and Francisco Arósio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Curriola AD's Anísio Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Curriola AD from getting a goal against them. Anísio Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Duarte in the 10th minute of play. Francisco Arósio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Anísio Oliveira came out and tried to block the shot, but Francisco Arósio slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 23rd minute. Anísio Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Arósio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anísio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Magno Duarte in the 27th minute of the match. If Geovanni Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Renatinho Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrick Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Paulão Saldanha struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Anísio Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garimpo. 41 minutes into the match, Patrick Gaúcho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Renatinho Moreira. Garimpo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Patrick Gaúcho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Gaúcho to strike the kick off in the second half. Patrick Gaúcho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 56 played minutes Garimpo got a freekick which was hit by Magno Duarte. 59 minutes in the game Geovanni Paraíba got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Arósio in the 61st minute of play forced Curriola AD's goalkeeper Anísio Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulão Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patrick Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dênis Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renatinho Moreira having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Paulão Saldanha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garimpo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A collision led to Curriola AD getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Geovanni Paraíba hit a great ball. Jarbas Magalhães took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Anísio Oliveira. Curriola AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco Arósio in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anísio Oliveira saved Curriola AD from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Garimpo had won after a very even match.
