Zé Pedro Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Bebeto Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dino do Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luiz Paulo Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dino do Valle having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, Tomezinho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serafim Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. Clóvis Soeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 21 minutes into the match, Serafim Gonçalves notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Andradas's Dino do Valle. Dino do Valle was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Paulo Damião in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dino do Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bebeto Tavares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Pedro Almeida's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Andradas's zone, Serafim Gonçalves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dino do Valle came out of the goal and Serafim Gonçalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zé Pedro Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 40 played minutes Tomezinho got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Paulo Damião. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clóvis Soeiro in the 43rd minute of play forced Tomezinho's goalkeeper Bebeto Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andradas's Dino do Valle proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Andradas from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Andradas's Dino do Valle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo Damião in the 66th minute of play. When Clóvis Soeiro came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Andradas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clóvis Soeiro couldn't finish the play. After having played for 72 minutes, Zé Pedro Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
