Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Erik Paraibano kicked off to start the match. The supporters of EBEN FC booed when Carumbe SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Danilo Pimenta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edgard Brodel went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Luís Fábio Campidelis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the game, Gerson Massa threw the ball into play from the sideline. EBEN FC's Paulo Urbano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 20th match minute, Carumbe SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Gabriel Barreto to maneuver through the defense. After 24 played minutes Carumbe SS got a freekick which was hit by Walmir Albuquerque. In the 29th minute of the match Nicolas Meireles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Váldson Mangueira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 31st match minute, EBEN FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Fábio Campidelis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in EBEN FC's zone, Edgard Brodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Pimenta came out of the goal and Edgard Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Carumbe SS's Tiago Gabriel Barreto got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Erik Paraibano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Váldson Mangueira was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Edgard Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Erik Paraibano in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Váldson Mangueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Danilo Pimenta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bebeto Rosado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgard Brodel scored 2-1 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Pimenta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Bebeto Rosado came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Carumbe SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bebeto Rosado couldn't finish the play. Edgard Brodel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Danilo Pimenta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes, Wellington Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EBEN FC and the Carumbe SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes EBEN FC got a freekick which was hit by Wellington Lopes. Edgard Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. EBEN FC's Danilo Pimenta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Brodel in the 71st minute of play. Edgard Brodel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgard Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bebeto Rosado in the 76th minute of play forced EBEN FC's goalkeeper Danilo Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Bebeto Rosado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Fábio Campidelis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Walmir Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 84th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Walmir Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jarbas Silveira struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Váldson Mangueira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for EBEN FC. In the 89th minute, Paulo Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edgard Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 94 minutes, Luís Fábio Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the EBEN FC and the Carumbe SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, EBEN FC's Luís Fábio Campidelis got a free kick in the 94th minute. Carumbe SS were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of EBEN FC for a fine match.
