When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugênio Zonta made a kick off. With a left leg Wilian de Andrade saved Madre from getting behind. Valdemar Brito's late challenge caught a Acurui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdemar Brito helped the player get up and apologised. Valdemar Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
