Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Zézinho Mota took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléberson Favoretto in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amadeu Albuquerque saved Jordao from getting behind. If Ademar Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amadeu Albuquerque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zézinho Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. José Augusto de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breno Matos hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute Cléberson Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Albuquerque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ademar Quintal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Amadeu Albuquerque was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Nuno Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amadeu Albuquerque didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cléberson Favoretto went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 45 played minutes Umarizeiras EC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus de Medeiros. When Nuno Saldanha came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Jordao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Saldanha couldn't finish the play. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Umarizeiras EC! Fernandão Vasconcelos shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ademar Quintal to make the kick off. Amadeu Albuquerque came out of the goal and Ademar Quintal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Breno Matos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Augusto de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Umarizeiras EC's goal looked a bit too open when Nuno Saldanha came free, but José Augusto de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nuno Saldanha in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Augusto de Alcântara saved Umarizeiras EC from getting behind. Umarizeiras EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
