Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durval Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vladimir de Brito having to interfere. Vladimir de Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Durval Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 40th minute, Hamílton Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luís Recife struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Arnaldo Prado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bahia. In the 43rd minute, Guto Nunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bahia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 48th minute, Paramana's Durval Seco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vladimir de Brito. Vladimir de Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Guto Nunes made a kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sílvio Luís Recife got free with Arnaldo Prado in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 55 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Bahia's Sílvio Luís Recife fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Bahia's goal looked a bit too open when Durval Seco came free, but Vladimir de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Percy Soeiro's late challenge caught a Paramana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percy Soeiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Bahia's Percy Soeiro got a free kick in the 60th minute. Cipriano Sena received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Arnaldo Prado came out and tried to block the shot, but Cipriano Sena slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 68th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Paramana's Durval Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vladimir de Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bahia's Vladimir de Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durval Carneiro in the 72nd minute of play. When Caio Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bahia's protests and gave Caio Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 76th minute there was a penalty for Paramana. Maurício Toscano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vladimir de Brito. 3-2. Hamílton Motta charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamílton Motta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 81st minute, Hamílton Motta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sílvio Luís Recife did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-3 to the left of a surprised Arnaldo Prado 85 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute Durval Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
