Lipo's Romeu Batista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Lipo from getting a goal against them. Romeu Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manfredo Quirino in the 6th minute of the match. After 7 played minutes Lipo got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Britto. In the 10th minute, Lipo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Barnaba Obuchowicz fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Chapecó FC's Elder Tasso was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 13th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 20th minute of the match Chapecó FC got a corner. Lipo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sydney Lira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Sydney Lira made a great header on Chapecó FC's corner, it was just that Lipo's Romeu Batista managed to reach the ball for a save. Didi Dionísio kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Christiano Travassos fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Romeu Batista, passed just outside the right post. Chapecó FC's Klement Siembab got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elder Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu Batista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Christiano Travassos struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Romeu Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapecó FC. Elder Tasso's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Romeu Batista read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elder Tasso in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Batista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Percy Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 48th minute, Erasmo Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walmyr Tinoco was the one to do the kick off. If Manfredo Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeu Batista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Manfredo Quirino's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Elder Tasso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Romeu Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Batista having to interfere. In the 61st match minute, Lipo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dudu Meireles to maneuver through the defense. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Tinoco in the 65th minute of play forced Chapecó FC's goalkeeper André Luiz Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dudu Meireles charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudu Meireles the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lipo getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. In the 72nd minute, Percy Vander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chapecó FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Manfredo Quirino struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Sydney Lira went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sydney Lira got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Romeu Batista quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 82nd minute of the match Sydney Lira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeu Batista showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 84 played minutes Chapecó FC got a freekick which was hit by Percy Vander. After 86 played minutes Lipo got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Gustavo Britto. Dudu Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Christiano Travassos struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Romeu Batista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapecó FC. In the 91stth minute of the game Christiano Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lipo's Romeu Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christiano Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Chapecó FC had played much better football throughout.
