After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Serafim Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matariz's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim Nogueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dé Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Lauro Batista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lauro Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Deivid Cerezo made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sidnei Gomes in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dé Quintal saved Fonseca from getting behind. Dé Quintal came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Matariz's Serafim Nogueira. But to his dismay, Serafim Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pedrinho Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Matariz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fiori Furtado in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Deivid Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Fonseca's Lauro Batista in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Matariz's goalie prevented a goal. After 56 played minutes Matariz got a freekick which was hit by Mathias Novaes. When Lauro Batista came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Fonseca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Batista couldn't finish the play. Fiori Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Deivid Cerezo having to interfere. Serafim Nogueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 87 minutes into the game, Wiliam Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Matariz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fonseca the free kick. In the 87th minute, Wiliam Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lauro Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Sidnei Gomes lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Dé Quintal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Matariz had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
