Diogo Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nhecolandia. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Edson de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nhecolandia's supporters rose to their feet, but Edson de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 14 played minutes Nhecolandia got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Castro. When Sidnei Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Nhecolandia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidnei Silveira couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Caietra's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Castro came free, but Diogo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Loyola showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Paranaense in the 20th minute of the match. Samuel Loyola made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Luís Fábio Massa sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Pedro Paulo Prestes put in a rough tackle. 23 minutes into the game, one of Nhecolandia:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 26 minutes, Caietra's João Adolfo Mumbach got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Samuel Loyola. After a rather tough play, Nhecolandia's Carlos Ceresso got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Caietra's Luís Fábio Massa got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute, Angelo Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Paranaense stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diogo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edson de Andrade in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Caietra's Teodoro Fantini nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Samuel Loyola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Carlos Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogo Amaral made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Zé Roberto Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. After 67 played minutes Nhecolandia got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Ceresso. Samuel Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Massa, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Guto Salgado scored 2-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Diogo Amaral, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 80 minutes, Guto Salgado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nhecolandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nhecolandia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Guto Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Caietra's goalkeeper Diogo Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Angelo Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Diogo Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nhecolandia's Edson de Andrade got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Edson de Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nhecolandia's supporters rose to their feet, but Edson de Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Amaral breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Nhecolandia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Caietra throughout the match.
