When Aníbal Mineiro came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Satuba AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aníbal Mineiro couldn't finish the play. Silvinho Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredão de Alcântara having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cucui's zone, Acácio Secco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandro Lima came out of the goal and Acácio Secco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Aníbal Mineiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Betão Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredão de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Falcão Pena hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Cucui's goal looked a bit too open when Acácio Secco came free, but Sandro Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sandro Lima was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Acácio Secco showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. Silvinho Corrêa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfredão de Alcântara having to make a save. Satuba AD's Alfredão de Alcântara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Betão Nascimento in the 89th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Francisco Teixeira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cucui and the Satuba AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 92 played minutes Cucui got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Teixeira.
