After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Pedro Luís Proença managed to get in a good position for a shot. Society Old London's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luís Proença was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Inácio Arruda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Luís Proença scored 2-0 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Inácio Arruda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Pedro Luís Proença came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Inácio Arruda could save by the left post. 31 minutes into the match, Polaris F.C 39-xx's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Fantini came free, but Inácio Arruda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Pedro Luís Proença came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Society Old London fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Luís Proença couldn't finish the play. Inácio Arruda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artur Fantini's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Flávio Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inácio Arruda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Fantini in the 38th minute of the match. Pedro Luís Proença received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 59 minutes of play, Society Old London's Artur Fantini made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inácio Arruda was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 63rd minute Anísio Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dadá Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polaris F.C 39-xx's Rui Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Fantini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Society Old London's Digo Alvarenga got a free kick in the 67th minute. Inácio Arruda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Fantini, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. If Artur Fantini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Society Old London getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Digo Alvarenga hit a great ball. With a little luck, Society Old London's Dadá Pombal got control of the ball when Rui Carioca tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Society Old London were the better team. Society Old London's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
