Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hílton Rodrigues started the match with the kick off. Chicão Batista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by João Soares during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Flávio Senna charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Flávio Senna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Jequitai's Flávio Senna got a free kick in the 7th minute. Luiz Fabiano Simão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 14 minutes of play Jequitai's João Soares was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Igor Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Amadeu Fonseca hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Chicão Batista hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Jequitai's Hílton Rodrigues slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Igor Mumbach. That made the score 2-1 after 36 minutes of play. Hílton Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Igor Mumbach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jequitai. The supporters of Jequitai booed when Parente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amadeu Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jequitai's Hílton Rodrigues got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.
The wind increased when Luiz Fabiano Simão made the kick off in the second half. Igor Mumbach showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hílton Rodrigues, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro de Alcântara in the 52nd minute of play forced Parente's goalkeeper Igor Mumbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Simão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Christopher Delgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hílton Rodrigues in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Igor Mumbach saved Parente from getting behind. Igor Mumbach came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Jequitai's Hílton Rodrigues. But to his dismay, Hílton Rodrigues quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Hílton Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jacinto Pinto fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jequitai's protests and gave Jacinto Pinto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jequitai getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jacinto Pinto hit a great ball. Hílton Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Mumbach read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jequitai's Juninho Simão got a free kick in the 76th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hílton Rodrigues in the 80th minute of play forced Parente's goalkeeper Igor Mumbach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hílton Rodrigues hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Christopher Delgado made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Luiz Fabiano Simão sent off a good shot on target. Igor Mumbach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hílton Rodrigues in the 85th minute of the match. Hílton Rodrigues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Igor Mumbach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hílton Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 94th minute Hílton Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Igor Mumbach saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Luiz Fabiano Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parente's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
