Dida Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Dalmo Simão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Perdigao SS. Ediberto Amaral scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dalmo Simão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Paulo Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Simão having to interfere. In the 10th match minute, SESTPREV FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogério do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. If Ediberto Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dalmo Simão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Couto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Felippe da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Régis Negri in the 27th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dida Couto in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dalmo Simão saved SESTPREV FC from getting behind. In the 35th match minute, Perdigao SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dida Peixoto to maneuver through the defense. If Ediberto Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Arósio in the 44th minute of play forced SESTPREV FC's goalkeeper Dalmo Simão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dalmo Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dida Couto in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Ricardinho Lopez fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Felippe da Costa. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and SESTPREV FC's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Dida Peixoto made the kick off in the second half. If Paulo Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dida Couto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dalmo Simão came out and tried to block the shot, but Dida Couto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 57th minute. Ediberto Amarals short, quick shot in the 61stth minute got Dalmo Simão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to SESTPREV FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Jeremias de Alcântara hit a great ball. Perdigao SS were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after SESTPREV FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vitório Tande took the corner. Perdigao SS's Felippe da Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Lopez in the 74th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Rogério do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dalmo Simão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Tande in the 81st minute of play. Ediberto Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Simão having to interfere. Nilson Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 88 minutes into the match, SESTPREV FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dida Couto came free, but Dalmo Simão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo Arósio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Simão having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Perdigao SS left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SESTPREV FC.
