Matías Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Juarês do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Zeca Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shi Zhen Yong took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Bueno. Edvaldo Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Hever Ludueña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arandu's Cássio Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 20th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Discípulos FC's Shi Zhen Yong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edvaldo Bueno narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edvaldo Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hever Ludueña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edvaldo Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shi Zhen Yong in the 30th minute of play. After 31 played minutes Discípulos FC got a freekick which was hit by Juarês do Nascimento. Arandu's Dedê Lara couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Discípulos FC. Shi Zhen Yong scored 1-2 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edvaldo Bueno, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 40th minute, Shi Zhen Yong got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the game, Discípulos FC's Luciano Coutinho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Bueno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Shi Zhen Yong took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Bueno. Edvaldo Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After the first half Discípulos FC were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Shi Zhen Yong was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Campidelis got free with Edvaldo Bueno in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Edvaldo Bueno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luciano Coutinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shi Zhen Yong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edvaldo Bueno having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Zeca Urbano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Arandu's Cássio Breckenfeld got a free kick in the 68th minute. Luciano Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shi Zhen Yong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Discípulos FC's Shi Zhen Yong got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edvaldo Bueno yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6. Discípulos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
