Spectators: 7229 (Terracing: 5423, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfredinho Valadares made the kick off which started today's match. Aloísio Bueno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Augusto Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Bueno in the 6th minute of play. Júlio Salles's late challenge caught a Luverdense Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Júlio Salles helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dogelo SS's Júlio Salles got a free kick in the 8th minute. Dogelo SS's Augusto Hoffmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomé de Alcântara in the 10th minute of play. Augusto Hoffmann didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomé de Alcântara went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Nestor Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Augusto Hoffmann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Alfredinho Valadares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oséias Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oséias Messias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredinho Valadares in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Júlio Salles notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Luverdense Esporte Clube's Oséias Messias. Oséias Messias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Augusto Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Luverdense Esporte Clube's Aloísio Bueno. But to his dismay, Aloísio Bueno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Tomé de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Aloísio Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Luverdense Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Bueno couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd match minute, Luverdense Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé dos Santos to maneuver through the defense. Alfredinho Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. When Aloísio Bueno came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Luverdense Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aloísio Bueno couldn't finish the play. After the first half Luverdense Esporte Clube were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aloísio Bueno was the one to do the kick off. Augusto Hoffmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nestor Ortiz in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Vítor Siqueira in the 57th minute of play forced Luverdense Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Oséias Messias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Augusto Hoffmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Bueno in the 61st minute of the match. Dogelo SS's Augusto Hoffmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Dogelo SS from getting a goal against them. Oséias Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 72 minutes into the game, Luverdense Esporte Clube's Zé dos Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Augusto Hoffmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Tomé de Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luverdense Esporte Clube played a much better game than Dogelo SS and deserved their victory. The Dogelo SS players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
