Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agenor Meireles in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Basílio Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Kaká Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ituverava's Paulo José Hermes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute Kaká Messias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Bastos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute of the match, Kaká Messias tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caio Bastos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivo Lara in the 26th minute of play forced Ituverava's goalkeeper Basílio Cerezo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Ituverava getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Paulo José Hermes hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Kaká Messias made the kick off in the second half. If Kaká Messias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Freire CFF's goal looked a bit too open when Kaká Messias came free, but Caio Bastos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
