Tommi Nunold stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kaká Messias's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kaká Messias to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Marco Corrêa notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ituverava's Basílio Cerezo. Basílio Cerezo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléberson Rodrigues in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Basílio Cerezo saved Ituverava from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Murilo Machado made a precise shot to the right of Basílio Cerezo. Ituverava's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. In the 94th match minute, Ituverava was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celsinho de Salles to maneuver through the defense. Taua EC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
