Spectators: 6657 (Terracing: 5001, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 2) Jano Barbosa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After having played for 6 minutes, Adrianinho Paraíba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vicente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adrianinho Paraíba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Araponga's Reginaldo Tavares got a free kick in the 7th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrianinho Paraíba in the 8th minute of play forced Araponga's goalkeeper Sebastião Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If André de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dráuzio de Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Araponga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dráuzio de Medeiros couldn't finish the play. In the 13thth minute of the game Jano Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Araponga's Sebastião Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 played minutes Vicente got a freekick which was hit by Rony Sarmento. Vicente's Thomás Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio de Medeiros in the 23rd minute of play. 26 minutes into the match, Vicente's goal looked a bit too open when Dráuzio de Medeiros came free, but Thomás Travassos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André de Barros had several of the Vicente's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 28 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Thomás Travassos as he didn't even see the shot coming. Sebastião Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. 38 minutes into the match, Araponga's goal looked a bit too open when Jano Barbosa came free, but Sebastião Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wágner Sousa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 57th match minute, Vicente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Dráuzio de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Thomás Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Barbosa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Vicente's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sebastião Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jano Barbosa in the 71st minute of play. Dráuzio de Medeiros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomás Travassos having to interfere. Luciano Munhoz hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Dráuzio de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Thomás Travassos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vicente's Thomás Travassos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio de Medeiros in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jano Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vicente's supporters rose to their feet, but Jano Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Lopes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
