Isaltino Madureira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Florindo. César Esteves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Isaltino Madureira made a huge save. After having played for 15 minutes, Falcão Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Florindo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão Queiroz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. César Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Isaltino Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Falcão Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Florindo's supporters rose to their feet, but Falcão Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isaltino Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Falcão Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th match minute, Fala Frango Frito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Xavier to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes, Abelardo Xavier mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fala Frango Frito and the Florindo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Carlos Alberto Bittencourt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Tavares's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Florindo's Falcão Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Hüsnü Oktay hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. A collision led to Fala Frango Frito getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. João Adolfo Leite hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Falcão Queiroz in the 61st minute of play forced Fala Frango Frito's goalkeeper Isaltino Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hüsnü Oktay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Falcão Queiroz in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaltino Madureira saved Fala Frango Frito from getting behind. Isaltino Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Falcão Queiroz went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Falcão Queiroz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Isaltino Madureira having to make a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Falcão Queiroz in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isaltino Madureira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Tavares could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Carlos Alberto Bittencourt made a huge save. Isaltino Madureira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Falcão Queiroz went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the Florindo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
