In the 20th minute Marcelinho Pimenta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chicão Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sport's Chicão Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelinho Pimenta in the 23rd minute of play. Sport's Chicão Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Moura in the 42nd minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Marcelinho Pimenta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paranagi fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Paranagi's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Paulo Renato Cearense in the 56th minute. After taking down the ball on Paranagi's corner Paulo Renato Cearense fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Chicão Gaúcho quite easily take care of the ball. Ivo Moura in the 96thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Chicão Gaúcho, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Chicão Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Pimenta in the 97th minute of the match.
