An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Lima in the 8th minute of play forced Flamengo C.R's goalkeeper Kauã Machado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Nunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Flamengo C.R's Kauã Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilson Lima in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilson Lima in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kauã Machado saved Flamengo C.R from getting behind. Kauã Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilson Lima in the 18th minute of the match. Geovânio Meireles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nelson Mesquita having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Danilo Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flamengo C.R's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 30th minute, Geovânio Meireles made a precise shot to the right of Nelson Mesquita. Jacinto EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 36th minute Geovânio Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nelson Mesquita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Danilo Vasconcelos to strike the kick off in the second half. When Cícero Toscano fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jacinto EC's protests and gave Cícero Toscano a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Jacinto EC got a freekick which was hit by Cícero Toscano. Geovânio Meireles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nelson Mesquita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to Jacinto EC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Gilson Lima hit a great ball. With a little luck, Jacinto EC's Nelson Mesquita got control of the ball when Danilo Vasconcelos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Flamengo C.R's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Lima came free, but Kauã Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nelson Mesquita came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Flamengo C.R's Geovânio Meireles. But to his dismay, Geovânio Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Lino Nunes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kauã Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Alvarenga in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Jacinto EC's Eduardo Freire got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 77th minute Eduardo Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauã Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Geovânio Meireles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Nelson Mesquita tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Jacinto EC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cícero Toscano hit a great ball. In the 89th of the match, Geovânio Meireles tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Nelson Mesquita got in the way and made a wonderful save. After 95 minutes, Dadá Chaves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo C.R and the Jacinto EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th match minute, Flamengo C.R was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Chaves to maneuver through the defense.
