In the 18th minute Róbson de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho Mattos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Fernando Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Luís Fernando Correia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caranandiua's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Fernando Correia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 played minutes Camaleoes got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Dracena. Haroldo Lucas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dito de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dito de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 37 played minutes Camaleoes got a freekick which was hit by Dito de Castro. 37 minutes into the match, Haroldo Lucas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Camaleoes's Zé Carlos Mendonça. Zé Carlos Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 41 played minutes, Caranandiua's Jaime Barral shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Zé Carlos Mendonça came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caranandiua reached it. If Róbson de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Róbson de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Luís Fernando Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Mendonça having to interfere. David Dias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Robinho Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Zé Carlos Mendonça managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Caranandiua's Haroldo Lucas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Caranandiua's Luís Fernando Correia got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Haroldo Lucas was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 75 minutes into the match, Luís Fernando Correia notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Camaleoes's Zé Carlos Mendonça. Zé Carlos Mendonça was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 79 minutes into the match, Caranandiua's goal looked a bit too open when David Dias came free, but Robinho Mattos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Haroldo Lucas came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Caranandiua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Lucas couldn't finish the play. Haroldo Lucas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Carlos Mendonça having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Camaleoes's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando Correia came free, but Zé Carlos Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
